The Mississippi Employer Health Data Set also known as the Health Data Set is collaborative effort of the Mississippi Business Group on Health, its members, and its vendors.
The purpose of the Health Data Set is to allow employers to create transparency and accountability among all stakeholders in the health care systems by pooling data, sharing experience and applying state of the start analytics to develop solution that lower plan costs and improve the health and productivity of their members.
The data, analytics, and reports generated by the HDS will be used, amount other things, to perform a comprehensive utilization, quality of care, and cost analytics of participants, providers, and groups to enable self-insured members who participate to evaluate and provide effective incentives improving care and reducing costs. The reports will also include an analysis of the overall populations'[s health profile in the form of a plan of ca. All data will be de-identified and is HIPAA complaint.
